But the "Messianic Activism" of the 19th century was a work of man rather than a supernatural work of God and fails to check off key elements of the actual (biblical) end-time Gathering of Israel.
To be clear, I'm part Jewish, love Israel, and love that the Jews have their own nation in the Holy Land. It's betting the farm on this being the end of the Age—which stirs up the same caustic fatalism of apocalypticism that has caused untold historical problems; and duly makes religion repulsive to the secular world. There's your problem!
